Vanishment

In October 2022, I had the opportunity to participate in an advanced training course, on photography, led by the famous photographer Richard Kalvar. The course took place in the charming cities of Sirmione, Verona and Brescia and it was a stimulating experience for me.
During the course, I worked on a photography project that focused on capturing real-time overlays rather than relying on post-production techniques. I used reflective glass and mirrors to create compositions with evanescent and elusive tones.
The challenge of capturing fleeting moments and noticing the transformative potential of the image itself as it stretches and vanishes before my eyes as soon as I grab it has really changed my way of looking. I was constantly searching for the perfect angle and waiting for the perfect moment to capture the essence of my subject.
